Catch-up
Months that were never entered. We rebuild them from your bank and card statements, one month at a time, until the books reach today.
Cleanup
Books that were entered but are wrong: duplicates, wrong accounts, accounts that do not match the bank. We find the problems and fix them.
Many businesses need a bit of both. The review tells us which.
How it works
- Review. We look at your statements and your current books to see how far behind they are and what needs fixing.
- Flat quote. You get one flat fee for the whole job before any work starts.
- Rebuild month by month. We start with the oldest month and work forward.
- Reconcile. Every bank and card account is matched to its statement, month by month.
- Hand over. You get clean, current books and a short list of anything that still needs your answer.
What we need from you
- Bank and credit card statements for every month we are catching up
- Receipts and bills you have (paper photos or digital copies are fine)
- Access to your bookkeeping software, or permission to set it up. We never ask for your bank password.
Overdue GST/PST returns brought current
If GST or PST returns have fallen behind, we bring the books current first, so every overdue return has accurate numbers behind it. You see the figures for each period before anything goes in.

- None. Whether it is a few months or a few years, we start with the oldest month and work forward until you are current.
- How long does catch-up take?
- It depends on how many months are behind and how many transactions each month has. After the review we give you a timeline along with the quote.
- What does catch-up cost?
- It is a flat fee, quoted after we review your statements and accounts, so you know the price before any work starts.
- What if I'm missing receipts?
- We work from your bank and card statements, list what is missing, and help you track down copies where you can. Missing receipts do not stop the catch-up.
- Do I have to sign up for monthly afterwards?
- No. Monthly bookkeeping is there if you want it, but catch-up stands on its own.
- I got a CRA letter, can you help?
- We get your books and records in order so you or your accountant can respond.
